today was just like any another day at uni: woke up, caught the bus, got to uni, went to lectures lol nice and boring :)

lately i've been skiiping chem and ancient egypt lectures just cause their stupid and boring..and i end up falling asleep lol ever since we changed from rizzicaza or whatever his name was for chem - the lectures have gotten boring. i dont mind when i had to take notes and stuff cause that means i actually gotta pay attention to be able to write stuff down. but when they tell us to print stuff off and just listen to them REPEAT exactly whats on the handout thats stupid - my brain just wonders into space and i fall asleep lol which is pretty much what i've been doing for the past weeks in chem ...so i decided to stop going lol. probably not the greatest idea but ahwell :)
and for ancient egypt i had a revelation a couple of weeks ago lol. since our exam for that is a take home essay on a topic we chose and its pretty much open book. we dont really need to go to the lectures if your not interested in that particular topic - meanig you wont write on it for the end of year exam :) so hence havn't gone for the past couple of week either lol. again probabaly a bad idea - but i'd rather go home or do some actual work instead of wasting my time in a lecture that is mind blowingly boring ..

on my way home today on the bus along victoria st i think there was this little white corolla (or yaris, dont remember) hatchback absolutely STUFFED with kettle chips and boxes of stuff. like the entire backseat - from seat to roof, and the boot of the car lol. it was funny as & weird lol but yesh made my day kinda lol

unforunately exams are looming, mine start on the 11th with chem, then calc on the 12th, and finally esd on the 18th ...then FREEDOMMMMMM! lol ancient egypt is due 11th as well, but i wanna try and do that during swotvac so then i dont have to think about it before chem - one can only hope lol
its scary cause really its the rest of this week, then one more week, swotvac then exam period starts...3 weeks...THREE WEEKS! fck :( im so srewed - havn't even started studying. hopefully i'll be able tto start tomorrow my day off lol i honestly need to. i've skipped and fallen asleep in so many chem lectures i have NOO idea whats going on lol. luckily i already had mum print off the handouts so i'll probs just go through those with the textbook next to me :) i hope that works
next tthing i study will probs be calculus cause its crazy hard - complex numbers are stupid and unnessissary! its just making up an imaginary number so we can square root a negative ...stupid. whoever thought of it really had no life :(

hmm i havn't posted anything in agesss and so much as happened
finally turned 18 :D pics of the party on are facebook :) and well yeh . party was on april 18th at eve bar & lounge - really nice venue . and of course ...i had an awesome time. gotta thank everyone who went i guess lol after eve. me and lisa stayed at crown that night -there were gonna be more people but they bailed/ weren't allowed to stay the night :(

but yeh. hmm before that it was the kaiser chief and snow patrol concerts (april 1st & 2nd respectively) at the palace on bourke st- they were BOTH awesome, and so very different. i had so much fun at kaiser chiefts - ricket was crazyyy i was gonna blog abou tit. i think i got half way and stopped lol anywas.
snow patrol was fun too, but a different kinda of fun - iunnoe hwo to explain. but just they were both amazingggg. cant wait till they come back
then on april 16th was keanee - at first i was alittle reserved about keane cause i really didnt' want to go. but lisa had already brought the tickets - then she gave it too me for my 18th lol. but yeh keane was surprisingly good - thank you lisa :P

uni is getting gayer by the minute:
esd (engineering systems design) workshops are torture.
calculus is just ridiculously hard and retarded
ancient egypt is mind cripplingly boring
& chemistry...is just chemsitry lol aka. gay
anddd exams are nearly her - fckkkk

i swear time has gone by so quickly. one minute we're finishing year 12, next minute we're about to do university exams - omggg its already been 8 weeks... EIGHT! since we started uni and exams come after week 12 -- so one more month. -stressss-

well. homework time :(

chem vs. mechanical & exchange vs. money

so after like a year of bitching that melbourne uni doesn't have aerospace engineering... i find out THEY DO! omg was so pissed. you have to do it through mechanical eng and like major in it. argghhhhh. so annoyed. cause i cant do mechanical eng without doing physics 1&2 in first year - so much for general/common first year, its a load of shit!
so now. i have to contemplate whether to continue with chem and do chemical eng - which will earn me shitloads of money; OR do physics 1 next semester, and do physics 2 over the summer :S (the summer part sounds gay) BUTTT, i think i'd actually enjoy studying aerospace, over chemical eng. probs should go talk to a course adviser - gay
like i'd do chem eng - but it'd just be a job; which i probs wont enjoy doing,
whilst aerospace actually seems interesting- i wanna design planes and learn about them. it'd be so cool!!!
but its like kinda a big decision - cause if i change, i cant go back; well i could but that'd just be a waste of a stupid year - which is even gayer!

anyways. whilst thinking about that -which is kinda major.
i also wanna go on EXCHANGEEE - honestly how cool would going on exchange be. ok i may not be going to like francy countries like spain, or europe. but i wanna go us or canada! which is still awesome!
right now, i'm thinking ucla - which is university of california, los angeles! so cali! how awesome does that sounds. personally its either us, canada or nothing. i dont really wanna go study in london, just cause its not really my thing - and like france and stuff sounds good, but i dont know their language - so it'd be like impossible
only thing is really MONEY! i'd love to hate money, but i cant - its a nessessity (w.e cant spell it) and exchange costs heappsssss like honestly, at least $10000 or something. :S hopefully theres like student loans or something i can get - but really soemthing you gotta be serious about , which i am but like the money side is abit of a downer :(

to blog, or not to blog

so lately i havn't really felt the urge to blog at all, normally i'd be omg i have to blog about this - not lately, not at all. and now i'm just utterly bored and thought it'd be something to do
well, mmm, so. lets see XD

ok - uni has been, um "interesting" i guess. ok its utterly boring. cal 1 is retarded, chemistry is boring me out of my mind, and ancient egypt is just utterly retarded. oh and esd - engineering systems design - is like blah; the workshops are fun, BUTTTT the lectures are like death and all this friends :P seriously, their ultimately about nothing =.=" their so boring. the funniest thing is watchign people take notes, when their al on the net, WITH recordings of the audio. its hilarous. watchign people write like 2 pages of FULL notes, about a pointless lecture. ANNDDD the other day, like i heard someone breathing heavily, and i thought it was the guy next too me just being a retard, so i tried to ignore it...then i realised it wasn't him, but was the guy next to him,and he had fallen asleep!!! me and the guy next to him just like laughed, it was funny as - cause he was ultimately snoring XD see told you my esd lectures wer boring, i found that entertaining - sadddd.

well luckily, the workshops are "better" kinda. we work in groups on projects (talked about it in an earlier blog) anyways. had my first one on tuesday and met some people - i swear some people just rather have no friends i swear. i met this chick, you try to tlak to her and she'll be all like "yeh...nha etc" omg. its like she wants to be a loner chick in a subject dominated by males. it was weird. then finally met some other people who were "normal". i think we're gonna do our first project together, just cause we all seem to get along (well after the first workshop) and we were able to work together to figure out the "fox and sheep problem" - something about sheep and fox crossing a river. it was stupid; kinda well it was like an "intro" to the whole of engineering. w/e so yeh did that moved on etc. cbf talking about that anymroe

yesturdya was KINGS OF LEON - ok wasn't that exciting. and i wasn't that excited either. if you were a vivd/avid kings of leon fan you would have loved it, surely. i only knew the songs from their new album "only by the night" - so obviously i enjoyed all the new songs,and was liek singing to them, jumping - being excited etc. then some random song comes up - poof. bored. cause i didn't know it XD probs my fault. we kinda brought the tickets on impulse anyways - probably could/shouldhave sold them and earned some money -nods- why didnt' i :( ah wells, not saying i didn't have fun -it was a pretty good concert, and we got to the front and everything. i brought a tshirt , which i will wear, caus eit actually fits nicely and stuff. ummm so yeh.

coming up is: kaiser chiefs = meh, snow patrol =yesshhhh, keane =hmm wtf lisa?!, and the getaway plannnn =omfg why are theybreaking up -cries-
so yeh. im going to kc, sp and keane with lisa - she convinced me to pay like $90? each for them =.=" i have NO idea why. anyways. its the atmosphere of concerts which is why you go. doesn't matter if the music is blah, as long as the crowd is witht hem, you'll feel the need to be excited - trust me :) not saying im not excited. i like their music, i just have to listen to them and get to know ALL their songs, so it wont be a repeat of kings of leon XD

btw, matthew, caleb and jarred from kings of leon are HOTTTTTT. omfg hot! and matthew kept smoking during the concert - hmmm; but it was funnyy that his guitar was stuffing up all night, and he changes at the last song - quite stpuid. but yeh. HOTTT. except the drummer - they're always the creepy looking ones in rock bands :(

life goals

NOTE: what meant to post this yesturday, but i thought i was gonna write more -but now im lazy so yeh :)

just then i saw someones msn message, "goal in life. accomplished" and their only 17. - congrats i guess...

i dont know what their goal was, but it made me think about my life goals; and how i dont remember ever making any - like there are 'short term goals like : get a good enter, get into uni etc. but LIFE goals - a little daunting.

so for the past minute XD i've been thinking of goals

my life goals:

- complete my undergraduate degree, be asked to complete honours and then do a masters degree
- hmm marriage? most likely; kids: i guess, that i have no idea of.
- iunnoe. ok i havn't been thinking every hard so thats about it. XD

but it also made me think of another OLD goal or dream really. wasn't really realistic though.
when i was young. i always wanted to be a vet :) - working with animals, it seemed like so much fun - it was a good dream.
FYI. the enter for vet is like 99.95! =.=" that was one deterrant. but then me, kathy, and alvin went to one of the melbourne VET open days out in werribe.
this is where i found out that in your 3rd and 4th year you pretty much have to LIVE in werribe - FUN... and it slike 70 hours a week and your on call 24/7. PLUS you gotta pay for your own accomodation, food, etc. hmmm not that great.

so as much as i dreamt of becoming a vet, it became highly unrealistic - especially cause of the impossible enter score - like i thought i wanted to do it. but after hearing properly about it, maybe not. like it would have been fun i guess, working with animals - but the process that leads up to that is crazy - literally. and it would have drove me crazy, having to move up to werribe etc x.x i ain't that passionate XD

but yeh. so i ended up with engineering :)
so uni today...with a lovely 3 hour break (it was kinda boring)

anyways. woke up at like 7am ish for my bus which was MEANT to be at 7.45 (will get to that in a sec), so i get ready and everything. and im waiting for mum, so she can take us to the bus stop - i would have walked but she was like "we'll go to bp" etc. so i wait. and she like wastes time, while im waiting for her and its like7.40 already - im like "we're gonna miss the bus" shes like nah it takes 10 mins to get to bp - w/e

so i wait anyways. get to the bus stop - theres a bus there - i KNEW it was the 304 ARGHH! so i missed the bus. which ultimately made me late for my lecture. like i got there, and it had already started and it was pretty packed already. so i just sat up the back - lucky there was an empty space :) it was the esd (engineering system design) lecture, and we got these clicker things - they were fun. you liek chose stuff that he put up etc. and one question was how do you get to school and there was obviously the obvious options - walk, bus, car train etc. then there was HELICOPTER! XD hehe it was funny. and unsurprisingly 11% took a helicopter to uni today !!! XD it was hilarous. like i was tempted to press the button for helicopter too, just cause it was funny. well after that, he went on to explain how engineers have their influences on those particular things- like who deisngs cars, bus etc.

so after the lecture, went to uni house with kenny (saw kenny at the esd lecture) and we also saw alex, danny. and gracia was just randomly standing in the middle of union house (near the stairs) i was like wtf XD it was funny.

ok so dad was like kinda yellinga t me last night for still being online and typing so much XD so kinda had to post and close :(

anyways. so er. after calculas i had the engineering systems designs lecture - which was ok, but like pretty oing too. cause he just went over what we'll be doing etc. but i didn't know that we have workshops EVERYWEEK! -excluding this week, cause yeh..
instead of tutorials, we have workshops where you work in teams or 3 or 6 apparently. anywyas. we work on projects and in total its like 3 projects a semester - first one is some flyre thing, where we have to think of a way (its liek marketing) to get a project, iunnoe its weird. its the second and third ones that get interesting, kinda. second is fluid mechanics - so more chemical eng (me) and third is ROBOTICS!!! so fun. we have to like design a robot, and program it to go around a course or osemthing; seems like so much fun, but i know it'll be hard too.
this will probs be the most intersting sub out of them all, since its liek hands on etc.

then i had one hour break - BREAKS ARE ACTUALLY BORING!!! so pretty much sat around for an hour waiting for my chem lecture in the copland theatre - its the biggest one! then finally it became 2pm, and i went in. and its like packed :S it wa creepy having SO many people the smae lecture, it just felt so big - even though i think my eng one was bigger. anywyas. so again the lecturer went over the stuff. then he actually started - organic chemistry BORING!.
it was like stuff we'd already done :S like shells and energy levles. just had to remember it etc. it was ok i guess.

hmmm anicent egypt and meso... was probably the biggest shock. wasn't exactly what i excepted; anddd i excpeted like 60 people - there was like 200! or w/e it completely filled the bladwin spencer theatre :S and there were alot of guys - which i didn't except either. hopefully i can just pass this sub, cause meh its not that great. and mainly wanted to do the myth, art and empire: greece and rome one. so i was like might as well to the "pair" of anicent worlds study XD

so after that got on a tram and went home. whilst on the tram, saw bec - who was int he same lecture with me for anicent worlds and we didn't realise till after. and chris panagos. i didn't even see him at the start - then he was like "jessie" im like oh hi. :) so um. yeh.

oh met two girls too - sena and lale during the anicent worlds lecture (well beofre we were waiting to go in) but um, its funy cuase we were also in the same chem lecture too - but obviosuly didnt' know each toher then! chris was also in my chem lecture so yeh. now i know people in my HUGEchem lecture - which is good.

today. i had ONE tutorial ONE! so gay. it started at 10, so i thought i'd be able to get in on time taking the 9.03 bus. but of course, being public transport IT WAS LATE! by liek 10 mins, which made ME late by 10 misn. so annoying. and ther ewas STILL a traffic jam ont he freeway - thank goodness for the bus only lane :D so good.

but yeh . one tut and i arrived late XD and everyone was already there - it was so awkward; and there were no more seats - luckily everyone was getting up to do some work on the board. so i just joined some random group. there was a chick - forgot her name :S (it was one of those weird oens D: ) and a guy - johnny :) he was blond and tall XD stfu ok :P

ummm. after that, the tutor took us around the maths and stats building etc and we finished at like 10.50 :)
i pretty much wondered around the campus waiting for linli to finish her semiar at like 12; i went to the union house shop to buy some special lab book to write up stuff; and got the paper. then went ot the sushi place :) and ate sushi ...dur! read the paper. and that was ONLY 10 mins :(
got bored. so ended up going to the sports centre to check out the gym. some guy i think his name was james, gave me a tour of the gym etc. i actually wanted to see the squash courts, not hte gym but it wans't till after i realised that the courts weren't it in building XD after th tour, went to see if i could check out the courts- no luck. it was like mmebers only area. and i couldn't be bothered asking. so mayb i'll just go thursday night, when they have social squash and also play alittle. i actually want to play squash its weird. i feel like playing XD i use to be so lazy when i went every week. now i havn't played for like a year adn abit - played once with george now he cant play so yeh. but thats about it.
